While Philip's son Isaac, the father of Buffalo Bill Cody, and several other of his children and grandchildren left Cleveland, many stayed. For almost two centuries, various members of the family have made contributions to the growth and development of Cleveland. One of those was Sarah I. Cody (1920-2010), longtime Cleveland Heights-University Heights Public Library Director. Sarah was a granddaughter of Lindus Cody, and a great-great granddaughter of Philip Cody. She is shown in the 1976 photo above, two years before her retirement from the Library. | Source: Cleveland State University, Michael Schwartz Library, Special Collections Download Original File SourceCleveland State University, Michael Schwartz Library, Special Collections "A Continued Cleveland Presence." appears in: The William F.
