Shopping for a Truck, Coming Home with a Wife

Shopping for a Truck, Coming Home with a Wife
In 1920, Anthony Isabella, the founder of Isabella Brothers Bakery, traveled to Otsego, New York, intending to open a bakery in an Italy neighborhood there. While shopping for a delivery truck at a local Ford truck dealership, he met Carmella "Carrie" Molinari, a bookkeeper there. The business opportunity in Otsego did not pan out, but in 1922 he married Carrie, and shortly thereafter they returned to Cleveland where her bookkeeping skills were put to good use in the financial operations of the bakery. | Creator: Joseph P.
