Construction for Underground Convention Center Expansion

Construction for Underground Convention Center Expansion
The Mall has been dug up several times for underground construction. Here, in 1932, a convention center is being built underneath a part of the Mall. In 2011, this section of the Mall was again excavated as a new underground convention center (replacing the original one, which had been extensively renovated in the 1960s) was set to open in conjunction with the Center for Health Innovation at the corner of Ontario Street and St. Clair Avenue. | Date: 1932 | Source: Cleveland Memory Project, Cleveland State University Library Special Collections
