The James Coffinberry House

The James Coffinberry House
This Italianate design house, which was located at 3105 Franklin Boulevard, was built for Judge James Coffinberry in 1875. Henry Coffinberry, and his wife Harriet, lived in the house for a year, possibly to help his parents recover from injuries they suffered in a train-carriage collision that year. The accident, and the litigation which ensued, led to the C.C.C. & I. Railroad Company installing Cleveland's first railroad crossing safety gates. | Source: Cleveland Public Library, Photograph Collection
