James Alvin Bohannon

James Alvin Bohannon
Bohannon came to Cleveland in 1929 at the age of 33 after working for several years as an officer of the Marmon Co. in Indianapolis to become president of the Peerless Motor Car Company. Only two years into his time in Cleveland, Peerless ceased production, and Marmon would do so in 1933. Bohannon later moved into the old Van Sweringen estate, Daisy Hill, in Hunting Valley and gave John Carroll University one of its most substantial individual gifts. | Date: July 1, 1949 | Source: Cleveland Memory Project, Cleveland State University Library Special Collections
